Inspired wedding ceremonies with Aloha! ❤️🌴🌺
I’m based on Maui, Hawaii but spending the summer in the Maryland/Washington D.C. area. If you are getting married in June, July or August in Maryland or D.C. get in touch! If you have a Maui wedding in September or later I look forward to hearing from you.
Do you need a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony for your wedding? From big formal events to small gatherings or a ceremony with just the two of you, I will help you create just the right ceremony with aloha, sincerity and heart.
You can customize one of my ceremonies or I can work with you to create one specially for you. It’s my joy to work with couples to create a ceremony that reflects their sensibilities. All faiths and couples welcome.
Want to do something creative for your special day? I’ve presided weddings everywhere from the Redwoods to the Courthouse and even in costume so if you have an outlandish idea, I’ll probably be down for it. (Planning a pirate wedding?) I am also able to include some beautiful Hawaiian traditions into your special day.
I officiated my first wedding ceremony just after college and so enjoyed the experience that I wanted to do more. Alas, there wasn’t a huge market for ministers in their twenties back then, so I had to bide my time until I got older and looked slightly more respectable. 🙂
Since then, I have had the honor of presiding over all sorts of weddings, from the modern to the whimsical. I’ll help you create an unforgettable ceremony here on the Valley Isle and beyond. Yeah, I’m kind of a wedding nerd.
It’s a great joy to work with couples on crafting just the right ceremony that reflects their values, personality and particular brand of joie de vivre!
I hold a license as a marriage/civil union performer for the State of Hawaii (lic: 2016-11641). I also hold ordinations from the Church of the Subgenius, The Church of Spiritual Humanism and most recently the Church of the Latter Day Dude (yes, that is a Big Lebowski reference!). While some of these ordinations seem tongue-in-cheek, I assure you they are all legit in the eyes of the law.
I’m an avid paddler of Hawaiian outrigger canoes and can be found out on the water with my wa’a ohana (canoe family) 3-4 mornings a week. I’m also an itinerant DJ for Mana’o Radio (91.7fm) and volunteer for several local non-profits including Hale Kau Kau.
I’m happy to recommend wedding planners, flowers, photographers, hula performers, caterers, venues, musicians and more. I write about some of them on my blog but you can also drop me a line and I’ll send you my preferred vendors list.
I can perform weddings on Maui and all of the other Hawaiian Islands. Heck if you want to fly me to your state to perform your wedding that could totally happen.
I’d love 2-3 months lead time but if you are eloping or have a last minute need for an officiant get in touch and I’ll see what I can do. June and September tend to book up quickly so early booking is encouraged. If I’m not available for your date I’ll be happy to recommend other officiants in the area. My rates are reasonable and if you are having a pirate themed wedding on Maui I’ll waive my fee (more info here).

We are very happy to have chosen Julienne to perform our wedding ceremony. We wanted a simple but meaningful ceremony and she tailored it to us. She was also able to accommodate us with short notice and helped us pick a beautiful spot with a beautiful view. She is very easy to work with and has a great vibe. Also advised us on good places for leis and flowers. She definitely helped and made the process very easy. Everyone has given us compliments on our beautiful ceremony. We are very happy to have had her on our special day.

Working with Rev. Julienne was fantastic! From her cheerful personality to her helpfulness with our questions she was a joy to have as our officiant. Rev. Julienne took into account our specific wishes for the ceremony and helped us craft wedding vows that were perfect for us. If you are thinking about getting married in Hawaii you have to consider Rev. Julienne!

Rev. Julienne was exactly the officiant my wife and I were looking for. She is sweet and spirited, grounded and uplifted. She made us feel so comfortable and talked with us about what we wanted on the day and shared all the details of the service along the way. The ceremony itself was fantastic. Rev. Julienne performed ancient Hawaiian chants and prayers and held the space beautifully while we recited our vows. She even snapped some photos for us! Rev. Julienne is a beautiful person. We were so happy to have her officiating for our special day.

Julienne surpassed our expectations! She was super easy to communicate with, was genuinely happy to be a part of our day, and was full of positive energy and good vibes. We truly appreciated her willingness to work with us rather quickly and even helped explain the somewhat complicated process of getting married in Hawaii. I highly recommend Julienne for many reasons and know you will love having her officiate your special day too!

Julienne officiated at our wedding in 2009 and she was all we could have asked for. She helped to create a ceremony with efficiency and calm, and a rare blend of dignity, wit, and wisdom. Cindy and I are definitely going to ask her back when we renew our vows in a few years.

We laughed, we cried – it was better than Cats! We had our dream wedding and the good Reverend Ms. Julienne did a superb job with the ceremony and I might add wrangling the groomsmen into line during the rehearsal. (She could easily have a second career should she ever want to don the mask and become a Pirate.) Huzzah to Julienne for her good work with our mawidge!
