Custom Crafted Ceremonies

Your relationship is unique and your wedding will be so much more special if the ceremony and vows were written just for you!

The price of a custom hand crafted ceremony is the base price from above plus $50 an hour for my time write the ceremony for you.  Usually it’s 1 to 2 hours.

What is involved in a custom crafted ceremony?

We will have one or two conversations via phone or Skype and probably some emails back and forth. I’ll gather your ideas and suggestions and will craft a special ceremony just for you reflecting who the two of you are, what you value and how you would like to express yourselves on your wedding day. Couples often like to include family members, pets and even favorite hobbies or sports teams into their ceremony. It really is up to you and I will guide you along the way to make sure you have what is just right for the two of you.

I’ve written many custom ceremonies over the years running the gamut from nature-based ceremonies that combined Hawaiian traditions and Shamanism to a secular science influenced ceremony that quoted Carl Sagan and Charles Darwin.  I once even co-presided with a Reform Rabbi to create a ceremony honoring the Jewish tradition of the Groom and the Bride’s specific agnostic beliefs.

What couples are saying about their custom ceremonies:

“We both read it and you had us trying not to cry so I would say it’s absolutely perfect!!

Thank you for making it special!!”

– Melissa & Jeff

“The ceremony was just what my wife and I wanted. She made us feel so comfortable and talked with us about what we wanted on the day and shared all the details of the service along the way.”

– Alli & Ash
