If you’re heading to Maui for a wedding, vow renewal, or any celebration, consider spending an evening at Legends of the Pacific Luau. It works beautifully as a rehearsal dinner or post-ceremony gathering. Your guests can relax, eat well, and feel like they’re truly in Hawaii. Tickets start at $163 per person. Resort luaus on the island typically start around $300, so bringing a whole group suddenly becomes a lot more doable.

If you are booking for a wedding or vow renewal celebration contact them for group discounts and a special surprise.
Some context: the people behind this luau are friends and colleagues of mine. Legends of the Pacific Lūʻau is a Native Hawaiian family run business. I’ve watched them build it from the ground up with real intention. They take genuine pride in how Hawaiian culture and community are represented, and that diligence comes through in every part of the experience. It shows.

The setting is Mulligan’s on the Blue in Wailea, with gorgeous sunset views. The performances move through Hawaiian and Polynesian culture in a way that feels genuine rather than touristy. You’ll see the energetic hula kahiko, elegant hula ʻauana, Māori and Tahitian dance, and a fire-knife finale that draws everyone in. The food leans into a fresh take on local flavors: kalua pig sliders, lomi lomi salmon, teriyaki chicken skewers, coconut rice and more. You’re also greeted with a complimentary mai tai when you arrive and specialty drinks are available for purchase at reasonable prices.
Before the show, there’s time to make kukui nut and shell bracelets, try Polynesian stamp tattoos, and weave a flower lei or headband. Local vendors are on site throughout the evening.
It’s exactly the kind of business I love supporting on Maui: locally owned, culturally rooted, and run by people who actually live here.
Legends of the Pacific runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 5:00–7:00 PM at Mulligans on the Blue 100 Kaukahi St. in Kihei.
