Aloha! I’ve been celebrating weddings and conveying blessings for over 20 years. I started young and even while I’ve had successful careers in the arts, technology and counseling over the years, presiding over sacred ceremony has held fast as a true calling. Creating and performing wedding ceremonies is an honor and a joy for me.
A wedding can be a dignified affair but it’s also a joyous occasion. I’ve been told that I bring a lighthearted but also a grounded energy, calming a nervous couple while also encouraging them to be present and feel all the joy and beautiful truth of the moment.
It’s a great joy to work with couples on crafting just the right ceremony that reflects their values, personality and particular brand of joie de vivre!
I hold an ordination from The Church of Spiritual Humanism and some tongue-in-cheek ones like The Church of the Latter-Day Dude and The Church of the Subgenius. I am a licensed marriage & civil union performer for the State of Hawaii (lic 201611641). I’m also an avid paddler of Hawaiian outrigger canoes, a student of hula and Hawaiian culture, a volunteer for charities and a DJ for a local radio station.
It will be my pleasure to provide just the right ceremony for the two of you with aloha, sincerity and heart.
I’m happy to recommend wedding planners, flowers, photographers, hula performers, caterers, venues, musicians and more. I write about some of them on my blog but you can also drop me a line and I’ll send you my preferred vendors list.
